Victoria is a third seat trainee solicitor in the Technology & Commercial Transactions department.
I grew up in the countryside and although green, open spaces are sometimes hard to come by in London, I still try to seek them out as much as possible now that I live nearer the city. I love going for walks around London's various parks at the weekends and find this a great way to catch up with people. My university friends started a book club a year ago, and this has re-ignited my love of reading which was rather dampened after years of academic reading university. I studied ancient history, classical archaeology, and history of art (as well as law) at university and have remained very interested in the material world. I love going to galleries and exhibitions with my mum and my friends in my spare time and have recently started an amateur Roman coin collection!
I chose to train at Travers Smith after having worked at the firm as a paralegal in the Funds team. During this period, I experienced first-hand the firm's supportive culture, the comprehensive training on offer to both trainees and associates, and the room sharing system which enables you to learn both technical and soft skills from those who are further on in their legal careers.
