Tom is a senior counsel in the Pensions department.
Tom has experience of advising both trustees and sponsors in relation to all aspects of pensions law, including funding and security arrangements, scheme amendments and benefit structures, liability management, administration and governance matters, pension tax matters and member complaints (including those which have been referred to the Pensions Ombudsman), as well as advising clients in relation to the pensions aspects of corporate transactions.
He also has experience of advising clients in relation to scheme valuation negotiations involving the Pensions Regulator, the closure of schemes to future accrual, and the interpretation of scheme rules.
Pro bono and CSR work
Tom has advised at the City Law School pro bono legal advice clinic. He also participates in Travers Smith's Reading Partners scheme run in collaboration with Tower Hamlets Education and Business Partnership and Bangabandhu Primary School in Bethnal Green.
