Sarah is a senior associate in our Technology & Commercial Transactions Department, where she specialises in intellectual property, data protection and technology matters. Sarah trained at Travers Smith and qualified into the the department in March 2018.
She advises clients on IT implementation projects, software licensing issues and outsourcings, as well as assisting with a range of intellectual property matters, including the protection and exploitation of IP. Sarah also has experience of advising a range of clients on data protection compliance and privacy.
In the technology sector, Sarah regularly advises a number of high profile clients in both the customer and supplier spaces, with notable highlights including Micro Focus, Matterport and Eggplant. She has also provided clients from a number of sectors, including those operating in the retail, technology and financial services sectors, with advice and support in relation to data protection compliance projects and day-to-day privacy-related matters. With regards to IP, Sarah has experience of providing advice in connection with complex licensing arrangements, as well as domain name and copyright disputes.
Sarah is a recent member of the firm's CSR Art Committee, which established and runs an annual CSR Art Programme for students from the University of Westminster and the Royal College of Art, and has advised a number of the programme's participants regarding the protection of their intellectual property.
Sarah is also currently a member of the firm's Sustainability Working Group, as well as being a member of the Technology & Commercial Transactions team's Pro Bono Committee and Data Protection Action Group.
