Olesya advises on a broad range of financial services regulatory matters, with a particular focus on the asset management sector.
Olesya advises on the impact of domestic and pan-European regulatory regimes, including the Alternative Investment Fund Managers Directive (AIFMD) and the Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (MiFID). She advises on the regulatory issues around raising capital in the EU post-Brexit, including structuring and marketing of investment funds. She also advises on business acquisitions subject to financial regulation, including change in control requirements.
Olesya's practice includes advising clients on the regulatory perimeter (and UK FCA authorisation applications), the Senior Managers and Certification Regime (SMCR) and the UK Investment Firm Prudential Regime (IFPR), including requirements relating to governance, regulatory capital, the Internal Capital Adequacy and Risk Assessment (ICARA), and remuneration.
She also advises clients on EU and UK regulation relating to ESG, including the Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (SFDR), the Taxonomy Regulation, and the UK Sustainability Disclosure Requirements (SDR) and investment labels rules.
Olesya participates in a number of industry associations on upcoming changes to financial services regulation, including Invest Europe, the Alternative Investment Management Association, and the Investment Association.
