Nigel has been a member of the Financial Services and Markets Department since 2000. His role is a hybrid one involving both knowledge management services and client work. With his colleague, Katherine Foweather, he helps to keep the department up-to-date with developments in the fast-moving financial markets.
After practising for several years as a corporate finance lawyer, Nigel started to specialise in the regulation of financial services firms and the markets in which they operate. In addition to providing the tools and technical support needed to help lawyers and their clients through all-too-frequent regulatory change projects resulting from EU and domestic legislation, he gives regular training and support to the team. As part of the professional support legal team, he helps to provide a legal "surgery" for lawyers of all levels.
Nigel helps to write client briefings on a variety of technical subjects and is a co-author of PLC's Enforcement regime: overview note.
