Marc is the firm’s Chief Risk & Compliance Officer.
He has overall responsibility within the firm for general risk management and provides in-house legal support to the business on law firm regulation and insurance. Marc is also responsible for claims and supply chain contract management and acts as in-house counsel to our lawyers on conduct-related matters, as well as conflicts of interest, anti-money laundering and anti-bribery issues. Marc is a dual-qualified lawyer, admitted as an Attorney of the High Court of South Africa and a solicitor in England and Wales. He holds the SRA-designated roles of Compliance Officer for Legal Practice (COLP) and Money Laundering Compliance Officer (MLCO).
Marc was admitted as an attorney in South Africa in 2005 and was a partner of a leading law firm in Durban. He moved to the UK with his family in 2008 and spent most of his career in private practice acting on behalf of solicitors in professional malpractice claims.
