Karen Sahota

Senior Counsel

Karen is a senior counsel in the Pensions Department. She has extensive experience advising trustees and sponsors on a wide range of advisory, transactional and contentious work and has been named a key lawyer for the team by the Legal 500.

Pensions advisory expertise 

Karen currently provides day-to-day advice to the trustees of the AXA UK Pension Scheme, the trustees of the Unilever UK Pension Fund and to the trustees of the BAE Systems Pension Scheme amongst others.

Pensions de-risking

Together with Pensions Partner Susie Daykin, Karen advised in relation to the winding up of the Lehman Brothers Pension Scheme and its £670 million buyout with Rothesay Life

Pensions disputes

Karen regularly advises trustees on member disputes including those referred to the Pensions Ombudsman.

Industry recognition

Karen is a member of the Education and Seminars Sub-Committee of the Association of Pension Lawyers.
