As a global pandemic compounded the existing political and financial uncertainty of the ongoing Brexit situation, it initially appeared that UK public M&A was very much on hold for 2020. H2 showed a different and much more optimistic story for the M&A market, both globally and in the UK.
In this publication we review UK public M&A activity throughout 2020, put forward some predictions for the rest of 2021 and point towards some forthcoming changes that will affect takeover processes and execution.
