Travers Smith's asset management team win twice at The Drawdown Awards 2023

Travers Smith's asset management team won awards for its expertise in both Fund Finance and Tax at the annual Drawdown Awards yesterday evening - reflecting that the team continues to lead in its tactical and technical advice to the industry.

The Drawdown Awards celebrate excellence and innovation within private capital fund operations. The rigorous judging process and awards are based on the views of a panel of senior market participants drawn from private equity firms.

The 'Fund Financing: Advisory Services' award recognises the team's work advising both leading funds and lenders on their fund financing arrangements. The team has experienced significant growth in recent years and remains at the forefront of providing cutting edge liquidity solutions for alternative asset managers.

The 'Advisory/Consultancy: Tax' award recognises the team's role in guiding the world's largest asset managers through changes in the constantly evolving tax landscape. In addition to its work acting for asset managers, on the investment side, the team advises multiple institutional investors, pension funds, funds of funds, sovereign wealth funds and family offices on the tax risks associated with their investments into alternative assets as well as on the tax implications of acquiring or selling fund interests in the secondary market.

The team was also shortlisted for 'Legal: Fund Formation' having won that award for the last three years.
