Travers Smith wins Law Firm of the Year: Funds Structuring at British Private Equity Awards

Travers Smith LLP is delighted to announce that it was awarded the Law Firm of the Year; Funds Structuring Award at the 2017 Unquote British Private Equity Awards.

The team led by Head of Investment Funds Sam Kay was shortlisted, along with Goodwin Procter and Paul Hastings, by a panel of judges made up of senior British private equity representatives. Following a vote by Unquote Magazine readers, the Travers Smith team picked up the award at a gala dinner on Tuesday 3 October.

Commenting on the win, Sam Kay, said: "We are delighted to win this award, which reflects a lot of hard work by the Travers Smith investment funds team over a number of years. The current climate remains very positive for private equity and we are continuing to work with existing and new clients on structuring and raising new funds. But, clearly, there are going to be some challenges ahead. This award demonstrates that Travers Smith is well-placed to assist the British private equity industry navigate any changes that need to be made to the fundraising process as the market continues to evolve and adjust."
