Travers Smith LLP is delighted to announce that it was awarded the Law Firm of the Year: Fund Structuring Award for the second year in a row at the 2018 Unquote British Private Equity Awards.
The team led by Head of Investment Funds Sam Kay was shortlisted, along with Goodwin and Ashurst, by a panel of judges made up of senior British private equity representatives. Following a vote by Unquote Magazine readers, the Travers Smith team picked up the award at a gala dinner on Tuesday 2 October.
Commenting on the win, Sam Kay, said: "We are thrilled that the hard work and relentless effort of the team has led to this award. As well as the other funds projects we have advised on over the last 12 months, the judges also acknowledged the work we have done for one of our clients, the Dementia Discovery Fund; it is particularly satisfying that a project such as this, which has the potential to significantly impact an important global challenge like dementia, has been recognised by the judging panel and the public vote."
The Unquote British Private Equity Awards celebrate innovation and excellence in private equity and venture capital, as well as honouring the industry's ability to help build British businesses - and in doing so, foster the wider economy.
