Travers Smith LLP is delighted to be co-hosting a breakfast seminar on Thursday 25 January 2018 with the Global Sourcing Association (GSA) focused on avoiding pitfalls in outsourcing.
The session will include a panel discussion with Director of Procurement at the BBC, Jim Hemmington, Archie Cle, Managing Partner of Intectics, the outsourcing software provider, and Tom Purton, Head of our Commercial, IP and Technology Department, and will be chaired by Kerry Hallard, CEO of the GSA.
Jim Hemmington will speak about his experiences at the BBC and in particular focus on lessons learned from the buying side of the outsourcing process. Archie Cle, will offer a supplier point of view and examine how to identify and mitigate risks when managing an outsourcing relationship, and Tom Purton will give an overview of the important legal areas to consider when setting up outsourcing agreements.
The session will also investigate key causes of sourcing failures through a series of case studies and offer practical tips on how to avoid these in the future.
