Travers Smith LLP is delighted to announce it has been awarded the Disability Confident Leader Level 3 status, the highest externally validated accreditation in the UK Government's Disability Confident Scheme. It challenges attitudes and increases understanding of disability; draws from the widest possible pool of talent; and secures high-quality staff who are skilled, loyal and hard working whilst improving employee morale and commitment by demonstrating fair treatment.
Travers Smith have made a number of improvements in this area, such as:
- Providing specific coaching for neurodivergent employees;
- Working closely with an external workplace needs assessment consultancy
- Focusing on tracking
- Monitoring and proactively following up on the changing needs of our staff with a disability or long term health condition throughout the employee lifecycle.
David James, Lead of the Enable Group, commented:
"We are delighted to receive this Level 3 status, which recognises the commitment and hard work we are doing to be a more disability inclusive environment. We now have some key takeaways to ensure we continue to make strides in this area – there is always more we can do. Thanks to everyone at the firm who have worked on increasing our accreditation from Level 1 to Level 3."
