Travers Smith real estate lawyer appointed to new AREF Education and Training Committee

Travers Smith LLP is delighted to announce that real estate lawyer Emma Pereira, who will be promoted to the partnership with effect from 1 July 2017, has joined a new Education and Training Committee launched by the Association of Real Estate Funds (AREF).

Emma advises real estate funds and real estate private equity funds on high-value and complex investments, lettings and developments. Emma is highly experienced in the retail, student accommodation and logistics sectors and regular clients include Clearbell Capital LLP and Lothbury Investment Management.

The new Committee is tasked with building a more extensive education and training programme for AREF members engaging with a much wider audience of industry participants and investors.

Emma is joined on the Committee by representatives from the following AREF member firms: Blackrock Real Assets, CMS LLP, Kames Capital, PGIM Real Estate, Schroders Real Estate, Standard Life and Alter Domus.  

Commenting on her appointment to the Committee, Emma said: "I am delighted to have joined the Education and Training Committee, working alongside its other representatives to develop a quality training platform to benefit AREF's core membership of real estate funds and their investors and advisors but also to extend that training to a wider following of participants, many of whom will be relatively new to the real estate funds industry"
