Travers Smith LLP has announced today the promotion of five lawyers to its partnership, with effect from this year.
The new partners and their principal areas of practice are:
Sam Brewer – Financial Services & Markets
Sam's practice covers a broad range of advisory work and the regulatory aspects of transactions, reorganisations and fundraises. He works with alternative asset managers, trading venues, pension funds and advisers, banks, wealth managers and brokers.
Henriika Hara – Financial Services & Markets
Henriika specialises in financial services law and regulation with a focus on alternative asset management. She works with financial market participants on legal and regulatory change affecting their business. She is recognised in Legal500 as one of the key lawyers of the Financial Services and Markets team at Travers Smith.
Ben Lowen – Corporate M&A and ECM
Ben primarily focuses on corporate M&A. He advises large public and private corporates, investment banks and PE funds on domestic and cross border public and private acquisitions and disposals, joint ventures and provides general corporate advice. Since joining the firm in 2014, Ben has completed two secondments at Macquarie Capital Principal Finance.
Ailie Murray – Employment
Ailie has over 16 years' experience advising clients globally on the full range of contentious and non-contentious employment law matters, including workplace investigations and disputes, senior executive issues and exits and day to day employment matters. She has particular expertise in advising clients on the employment aspects of multi-jurisdictional restructurings, acquisitions and disposals, private equity investments and post completion integration.
Will Sheridan – Finance
Will specialises in advising private equity sponsors, banks and credit funds on multi-jurisdictional leveraged and acquisition finance transactions. He also has broad experience of advising corporate borrowers on general finance transactions.
