Travers Smith LLP has announced the appointment of Jeremy Elmore as Head of Funds, with effect from 1 September 2024.
The Funds team is part of the award-winning and growing Travers Smith Asset Management practice, made up of over 20 partners across the firm, advising alternative asset manager clients on all aspects of their business, including institutional fundraising, LP led and GP secondaries, fund finance, investor side work and retailisation as well as house advice on issues such as tax structuring and ESG.
Jeremy works with a wide range of asset managers and investors on the implementation of their alternative investment programmes. He specialises in the structuring, formation and operation of both on-shore and off-shore alternative investment funds, with a particular focus on the private equity, private credit, and infrastructure sectors.
Jeremy also has extensive experience advising on secondaries transactions, co-investment structures, carried interest, and other incentivisation arrangements and works with a number of large UK corporate pension schemes in supporting their investments into funds and other pooled vehicles. Alongside this Jeremy frequently advises on the structuring of asset management businesses, both in relation to their initial formation and subsequent internal operations.
Jeremy Elmore commented:
"I am delighted to be taking over as Head of Funds. Our department has been going from strength to strength in recent years with the arrival of Tosin Adeyeri last year, the recent arrival of Joel Grossmark, and the acceleration in the growth of our thriving retailisation practice, and I look forward to working with the Funds team and the wider Asset Management practice, to continue to build on this growing success."
Edmund Reed, Managing Partner commented:
"Congratulations to Jeremy on his appointment. The Funds Department is a core part of our award winning Asset Management practice and I look forward to seeing its continued success under Jeremy's leadership.
