Travers Smith LLP is delighted to announce that Little Village, a London-based charity that supports families with babies and children under five living in poverty, will be the firm's major charity partner for 2023 – 2025.
Little Village run a network of baby banks across London, collecting, sorting and passing on high quality, pre-loved items to families in need. They also have a dedicated signposting and guidance team, who aim to support parents through providing access to resources and connections to other services. Families are referred to Little Village via an extensive network of professionals, including social workers, midwives and children's centres.
Over the two years of our partnership, Travers Smith will provide financial, volunteering and fundraising support that will help make a meaningful impact on Little Village and the families they work with. In addition, the firm will be providing pro bono legal support to the organisation.
Travers Smith's CSR partner Joe Wren said: I am delighted that Little Village has been selected as our new major charity partner. Supporting families to create a happy, safe and nurturing home for babies and children is a cause close to the hearts of many of us at Travers Smith. I am looking forward to working with the charity and support them in delivering their essential work throughout our partnership".
“Families with young children are having to make impossible choices due to the cost-of-living crisis, meaning that support from Little Village has never been needed more. We're incredibly excited that Travers Smith has chosen to partner with us,” says Sophie Livingstone, CEO of Little Village. “Together, we can help reach families with the material support and connections they so desperately need.”
The firm's partnership with Little Village complements our wider CSR related programme with regards to supporting our local communities, providing our skills and resource to those most in need, and reducing environmental impact.
