Travers Smith announces Aaron Stocks as Head of Transactions

Overview

Travers Smith LLP is delighted to announce the appointment of Aaron Stocks as Head of Transactions, a newly created role for the firm.

In this role, Aaron will use his diverse experience to deepen and develop the firm's relationships, in particular with financial intermediaries, to create further opportunities for its transactional teams.

Aaron has a very broad practice, from advising on all aspects of UK and cross-border corporate finance, fundraising and M&A transactions for corporate and asset management clients. Aaron recently led the team of over 100 Travers Smith lawyers advising Zegona Communications plc on its €5 billion acquisition of Vodafone Spain, the largest reverse takeover on the London Stock Exchange.

Andrew Gillen, Senior Partner, commented:
"This is an extremely exciting time to be at the firm and in this new role I have no doubt that Aaron will be able to continue to create opportunities for our transactional teams. With Aaron being dedicated to driving this forward, he will be able to ensure we are having more touch points with current and future clients and continue to build on our excellent relationships."

Aaron Stocks, commented:
"Travers Smith is a unique firm and this new role emphasises our "one firm" approach to transactional advice. When clients come to us with problems, we don't simply deliver a solution we've used before, instead our carefully considered teams look for new and bespoke solutions, focused on their specific needs. The way we work with our clients and deliver our advice is not a standardized approach and will be entirely unique to them, based on their resources. By being the strategic counsel to our clients' own GCs, I am hoping to continue this work and capitalise on more opportunities in the future."
