Travers Smith advises Shawbrook Bank on the provision of a unitranche facility to Hereford Contract Canning

Overview

Travers Smith LLP has advised Shawbrook Bank on the provision of a unitranche and committed capex facility, including an accordion option, to Hereford Contract Canning.

This is Shawbrook Bank’s third unitranche deal as part of the bank's new offering in this space led by Senior Director, Jen Murray.

Hereford Contract Canning was acquired by Rutland Partners in August and the refinancing package will enable the business to capitalise on market demand for flavoured beverages and ready-to-drink options, in addition to the industry-wide shift away from single-use plastics, by investing in its existing canning capacity to support long-term growth. It will also support the launch of a new production line that will substantially increase production capacity moving forward.

The Travers Smith team included Finance Senior Associate Katie McMenamin and Finance Associate Daniel Domb.
