Travers Smith advises S4 Capital on the merger of its Content practice with Decoded Advertising

Overview

Travers Smith LLP has advised S4 Capital plc on the merger of its Content practice, built around creative digital content production company MediaMonks, with Decoded Advertising, an integrated creative, technology and media agency.

An independent full-funnel marketing, advertising and design company which was founded by Matt Rednor in 2014, Decoded Advertising creates breakthrough campaigns that make brands perform. Challenging convention, it took some of the best talent from strategy, creative, media, design and commerce and put together a team and new way of working to bridge the gap between meaningful storytelling, data-led optimisations and commerce. Decoded Advertising services global clients like T-Mobile, Intuit, Visa, WW International and SC Johnson from its offices in New York and Los Angeles.

Decoded Advertising shares S4 Capital's vision of using data to develop and produce effective creative work and distribute campaigns through digital media.

The Travers Smith team was led by Corporate Partners Aaron Stocks and Tom Coulter, with support from Corporate Associate Tara Gazzard.

Loeb & Loeb LLP advised on the US law aspects of the merger.

Corporate Partner, Aaron Stocks noted: "We are delighted to have advised on another merger for S4 Capital with Decoded Adverting, an award-winning, highly successful agency, which will be a significant addition to the family."
