Travers Smith advises Rothesay on the £2.7bn buy-in of the Thales UK Pension Scheme

Travers Smith LLP has advised Rothesay on the £2.7bn buy-in of the Thales UK Pension Scheme. 

The team, led by pensions/pension insurance partners Dan Naylor and Niamh Hamlyn, included partners Susie Daykin and Joe Wren, consultant Sarah Boon, senior associates Nick Baines, Sheamal Samarasekera, Alex Economides and Adam Mullen, associates James Flint, James Humphrey, Tom Purkiss and trainees Sam Simkins, Jamie Errington and Amrik Bains.

Travers Smith has a market leading pensions de-risking practice led by Dan Naylor. Other recent transactions include advising the Trustee of the British Steel Pension Scheme on a series of transactions leading to it being the largest fully insured scheme to date and advising British American Tobacco PLC in relation to its major pensions de-risking project.
