Travers Smith LLP has advised specialist investment firm Quilam Capital (Quilam) on the provision of a term loan to UK SME finance platform Rocking Horse.
Rocking Horse focuses on UK SME businesses that are loss-making and often excluded by traditional banks and online lending infrastructure. The new lending facility will fund loans to UK SMEs eligible for Government R&D tax credits or Innovate UK grant schemes, secured against these future cash flows. Rocking Horse is Quilam’s ninth investment and it will facilitate the business’s next stage of growth as it seeks to become the UK’s leading SME innovation finance provider.
Quilam invests and lends into businesses in the speciality finance sector, providing expert and bespoke capital solutions through both debt and equity products.
