Travers Smith advises Phoenix Equity Partners on its investment in Logiq

Overview

Travers Smith LLP has advised long-standing client Phoenix Equity Partners on its investment in Logiq, a leading UK-based cyber security specialist.

Logiq was founded by four cyber security engineers in 2018 and has grown rapidly to become a leading specialist provider of cyber-related services to the UK public sector, with a particular presence in the defence sector. The Company offers two core services: cyber security assurance, strategy and system delivery, and DISX, a proprietary subscription software service that hosts a secure environment to allow information exchange between contractors and government entities.

Phoenix will partner with Logiq’s founders, to support the Company’s growth plans. These include enhancing Logiq’s operational platform, further investment in the DISX offering, and supporting expansion into new end-markets.

The Travers Smith team was led by Private Equity & Financial Sponsors Partners Ian Keefe and Emma Havas, supported by Senior Associates Laura Kelly and Max Conway, Associates Nikesh Arya, Jessica Wetherop and Mike Asprou and Trainee Faryaal Aziz. Specialist tax advice was provided by Russell Warren and Associate Natalie Paddock and Associate Lily Barrett.
