Travers Smith LLP has advised Lyceum Capital Partners and other selling shareholders on the sale of the Compact Media group to Ole Media Management L.P., a Canada-based provider of music publishing services.
Compact Media is one of the leading independent global collection agents for audio visual secondary rights, representing over 250,000 works worldwide.
The Travers Smith team was led by head of private equity Paul Dolman and supported by senior counsel Moushumi Sharmacharja and corporate associates Alex Dixon, Matt Powrie and Alexandra Elkins. A separate corporate team provided advice to management and was led by James Renahan, supported by corporate associates Victoria Bramall and Jessica Kolhorn. Specialist tax advice was provided by tax partner Russell Warren and tax associate Joseph Sheldrick.
Deloitte provided corporate finance advice to the selling shareholders.
