Travers Smith LLP has advised the owner of Specialist Aviation Services Ltd (SAS), a UK-based supplier of critical air ambulance services, on the sale of its business and assets out of administration to AIM-listed Gama Aviation plc.
Based at Gloucestershire Airport, SAS provided helicopter emergency medical services and aircraft repairs and maintenance services across the South of England. SAS also provided aircraft servicing to a number of organisations both in the UK and in the Middle East.
FRP Advisory were appointed to run an accelerated M&A process which resulted in a successful outcome, ensuring the continuation of critical air ambulance operations.
