Travers Smith LLP has advised the founder and management team of Phaidon International (Phaidon), a London-headquartered recruitment firm, on the sale of Phaidon to Quilvest Private Equity, the private equity arm of the Quilvest group.
Phaidon identifies talent to place in the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) sectors and owns brands including DSJ Global, EPM Scientific, Glocomms, LVI Associates and Selby Jennings. The company was launched in 2004 and now employs more than 500 people across ten offices in locations including London, Zurich, New York, San Francisco, Hong Kong and Singapore.
Travers Smith’s team advising on the sale and management's subsequent re-investment was led by Private Equity Partner James Renahan, who was supported by Senior Associates Genna Marten and Alex Dixon and Associates Sally Hirst and Becky Dove. Additional specialist advice was provided by Tax Partner Russell Warren and Associate Katherine Williamson.
