Travers Smith LLP has advised Njord Partners on its second fundraise, which beat its initial target of €250 million by holding a €271 million final close due to participation by a diversified mix of institutional investors.
Njord Partners’ second fund will continue its strategy of targeting European middle market companies that require flexible capital solutions and hands-on operational expertise.
The firm, which was launched by former executives from private equity firms KKR and Oaktree Capital Management, closed its debut fund in 2014.
The Travers Smith team was led by Funds Partner Jeremy Elmore and Funds Senior Associate Ed Ford. Travers Smith was the legal advisor and Asante Capital acted as exclusive placement agent.
