Travers Smith LLP is advising Mears Group PLC (LSE: MER) on its class 1 disposal of TerraQuest Solutions Limited.
TerraQuest provides a range of land and planning services to a wide range of customers, notably the National Planning Portal which provides planning and building control application services, processing some 90 per cent. of all digital planning applications in England and Wales.
The Travers Smith team was led by Corporate Partner Richard Spedding, assisted by Corporate Senior Associate Mark Anderson and Corporate Associate Isabella Sharpley, with firm-wide input including Tax Partner, Simon Skinner, Tax Associate Kaleem Khan and Commercial, IP & Technology Associate Emma Riggs.
The disposal is conditional upon the approval of Mears shareholders and the consent of TerraQuest's joint venture partner MHCLG; completion of the disposal is expected to occur in early December 2020.
