Travers Smith LLP has advised long-standing client Macquarie Capital Principal Finance (Macquarie Capital) on the refinancing of Matrix Networks Group (Matrix), a leading provider of specialist utility infrastructure in the UK.
Founded in 2007, Matrix operates as an independent utility network operator, holding the licences, expertise and accreditation to design, construct and own last-mile infrastructure.
The Travers Smith team was led by Infrastructure Finance Partner Ben Thompson, supported by Finance Associate Shehan Canagasingham, and Trainee Eloise Boyd.
Travers Smith advised Macquarie Capital on its initial investment into Matrix in 2020.
