Travers Smith LLP has advised HSBC UK Bank (HSBC) on the financing of CBPE Capital's (CBPE) investment into accountancy firm Berg Kaprow Lewis (BKL).
BKL boasts over 5,000 clients nationwide with particular strengths in property, financial services and tax. The partnership with CBPE will allow BKL to expand the breadth and depth of services offered to clients, in addition to pursuing strategic acquisition opportunities.
This investment continues CBPE’s successful track record of partnering with people-led professional services businesses and their management teams, and further evidences HSBC's longstanding position as a go-to lender for sponsors across the mid-market.
The Travers Smith team was led by Head of Leveraged Finance Matthew Ayre, Senior Associate Michael Leadbeater, Associate Alastair Lowson and Trainee Sam Winter.
CBPE was advised by Addleshaw Goddard and BKL was advised by JMW.
