Travers Smith LLP has advised Hiyacar Limited on its recent fund raise of up to £5 million from Itochu and existing shareholders.
Hiyacar is a peer to peer car hire service allowing car owners to lend their vehicles to Hiyacar members on an hourly or daily basis.
Itochu is a Japanese conglomerate which owns, amongst other assets, the car repair company Kwik Fit.
The Travers Smith team was led by Partner Anthony Foster, Senior Counsel Jonathan Walters and Senior Associate Lucy Stephenson who advised Hiyacar on the subscription by Itochu and the existing shareholders and joint venture arrangements.
Reynolds Porter Chamberlain advised Itochu.
