Travers Smith advises BPEA EQT on the merger of Viewpoint with TrustQuay

Travers Smith LLP has acted for new PE client BPEA EQT on the merger of Viewpoint with TrustQuay, a Hg majority owned business.

The merger of Viewpoint and Trustquay will facilitate an acceleration of automation and digitalisation across trust, corporate and funds services. Viewpoint has more than 20,000 users in 80 jurisdictions. It offers a holistic entity governance and administration solution for the combined needs of commercial entity management service providers such as trust and corporate service providers, and the needs of governance professionals in the PLC, family office, unit trust and law and accounting sectors. Focused on entity management, client accounting, practice management, compliance and workflow software for trust, corporate and funds service providers, TrustQuay has a user base of more than 26,000 in some 30 jurisdictions. Bringing together 270 staff in 12 offices around the world, including Jersey and Guernsey, the transaction will enable the two businesses to scale up their R&D, professional services, customer services and business development. 

The transaction, subject to regulatory approval, is expected to close by the middle of this year.
