Travers Smith LLP has acted for Chrysalis Investments Limited (the "Company") on its successful raise of £300 million in gross proceeds pursuant to an open offer, offer for subscription, intermediaries offer and placing of ordinary shares (the "Issue").
The ordinary shares were admitted to trading on the premium segment of the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange on 30 March 2021.
The proceeds of the Issue will be used to add new investments to the Company's portfolio, helping to drive value and increase diversification, as well as to pursue follow-on opportunities from existing portfolio companies which have helped underpin the Company's strong overall portfolio performance.
The Company has also approved a placing programme pursuant to which a further 453.7 million additional new shares may be issued over the course of the next 12 months, with Liberum Capital Limited engaged as the Company's sponsor, global co-ordinator and joint bookrunner and Numis Securities Limited engaged as joint bookrunner.
The Travers Smith team was led by Funds Partner Will Normand and included Funds Associates Rory Page and Jake Fleming. Corporate Senior Counsel Brent Sanders provided US securities law advice.
