Travers Smith LLP has advised the executive management team of TES Global Group Limited (TES) in relation to the sale of TES by TPG Capital to Providence Equity Partners L.L.C. (Providence).
Headquartered in the UK, TES supports and connects a network of 11.6 million teachers and schools throughout the world by hosting an online platform to facilitate the sharing of educational resources and training materials, which are downloaded up to a million times a day and the provision of recruitment and training services in order to allow schools to fill vacancies and to qualify and train their teachers.
The Travers Smith team comprised Partner James Renahan, Senior Associate James Parker and Associate Kim Meadowcroft together with Tax Partner Russell Warren and Tax Associate Will Kelleher.
TES was also advised by Jefferies International Limited and Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton on the sale. Providence were advised by Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP and Arma Partners.
