Travers Smith LLP has advised Phoenix Equity Partners ("Phoenix") and certain other selling shareholders on the sale of Edif Group Limited ("Edif") to RINA S.p.A.
Edif is a leading worldwide provider of a diverse range of testing, inspection, certification and consulting ("TICC") services that serve to reduce risk, optimise performance and enhance the capability of its clients' assets. Edif is headquartered in London and employs approximately 650 employees and 2,500 associates in over 20 offices internationally. Edif was founded as a group in 2011, and has grown rapidly since inception, both organically and through acquisitions. Travers Smith has acted for Phoenix and Edif since the group was first founded.
Travers Smith's team advising the selling shareholders on the transaction was led by private equity partner Jim Renahan, who was supported by senior associate Sonal Patel and associate Aisling Arthur. Additional specialist advice was provided by tax partner Russell Warren. Management advice was provided by Cooley (UK) LLP (Stephen Rosen).
