A Travers Smith team led by private equity partner James Renahan has advised all selling shareholders, including longstanding client Equistone Partners Europe, on the sale of Easynet, a European managed services provider, to cloud-computing group Interoute Communications Limited. The transaction, which is subject to limited customary closing conditions, values Easynet at £402 million.
The Travers Smith team included senior private equity associate Laura Pembridge, and finance partner Andrew Gregson. Tax advice was provided by tax partner Russell Warren and tax associate Andrew Callaghan.
Easynet is a leading managed service provider with over twenty years’ experience delivering integrated networks, hosting and unified communications solutions to national, international and global customers. Travers Smith advised Equistone Partners Europe on the simultaneous acquisition of MDNX Group and Easynet in 2013.
Interoute is the owner and operator of Europe's largest network and global cloud services platforms.
