A Travers Smith team, led by private equity partners Lucie Cawood and James Renahan, has advised long standing client 3i Group plc ("3i") on their investment in Aspen Pumps in a transaction valued at £105 million.
Aspen Pumps is based in Hailsham, Sussex and is the global market leader in condensate removal pumps (its products being available in over 100 countries). 3i plans to work with Aspen Pumps to support its international growth and expand its product range, as well as supporting complementary acquisition opportunities.
The Travers Smith team that advised on the transaction included senior partner Chris Hale, tax partner Simon Skinner and tax associate Jessica Kemp, as well as private equity associates Mark Storrie, David Wall, Sarah Butler and Clarissa Otte.
The selling shareholders, including Inflexion and management, were advised by a team led by Adam Greaves of Jones Day LLP. The management of Aspen Pumps, who are remaining with the business, were advised by Andrew Carpenter and Geoff Yates of Addleshaw Goddard LLP.
