WWF aims to protect and restore nature, including forests, rivers and oceans. One of WFF - UK's main goals is to tackle climate change and encourage the reduction of carbon emissions. The climate and energy team at WWF-UK is at the forefront of campaigning and advocacy to drive changes in policy and legislation in the UK and working to ensure that the UK government is held to account on reducing its carbon emissions.
Travers Smith has advised WWF-UK in relation to the statutory and regulatory tools that are available to regulators in the Finance Sector and how these tools can be used to ensure that financial institutions formulate and implement climate transition strategies that are aligned with the Paris Agreement. We also continue to advise WWF-UK on financial regulatory and disclosure requirements for sustainability matters to inform WWF UK's submissions and lobbying.
